Rose - Macro

An attempt at Macro in Apurture Priority mode.

F:F/3.2
Exposure: 1/125 sec
ISO: 64

This picture was taken while our friend (pro photographer) was capturing this rose in his garden.
I tried some shots (of course had some tips from him). Of the 3 shots i liked this best.
Post processing involves: Cropping, Fill light in Picasa.

Good shot. Like the duotone in this image.

I usually use a smaller aperture like f/8 or f/11 (whatever your camera permits) for my macro shots. This will enable me get more details. As I see you have used 1/125s shutter speed, you could have chosen to use a smaller aperture like f/8. This would have resulted in more depth of field, which means sharper petals all over the image.

Thanks for sharing
Raj

BTW why not bring your pro photography friend into our blog or group, so that we all can learn from him.

Appreciate your suggestion and comments. Regarding bringing in the friend :), wouldn't be possible. He works different.

This picture does a great job of depicting how velvety the petals can be... Just be yourself man and keep shooting.

Hey Sameer,

I thought so... coz I could hear a lot of "Sameer" in that message, even though the log in name said Meghana... ;)
