I softness adds a dreamy effect. In my opinion, this seems a little overdone.
"Dreamy effect" was what came to my mind before I saw Rajasekar's comment.. :) I liked it.
Now-a-days I see things like this. Hazy (not dreamy) :P..I always thought focus/out-of-focus was w.r.t a subject. So, in this case, the subject is not clear. (may be just to me)
